Report: Tim Norton headed to Triple-A
Web site Nomaas.org has Thunder bullpen ace Tim Norton earning a long-overdue promotion to Triple-A Scranton. If true, it is a huge hit to Trenton's bullpen. He's been the team's best reliever by far, simply blowing away the opposition game after game.
Over his last 10 games, Norton had allowed one run four hits in 12 1/3 innings, walked just two against 20 strikeouts. Lefties were hitting just .077 against him all year long.
With the promotion, he'll couple with Kevin Whelan to form a nasty one-two punch in the late innings for Scranton.
