Missed this earlier today because I was driving home from vacation, but Slade Heathcott, the Yankees' top draft choice from 2009, was promoted to Low-A Charleston earlier today. Heathcott, a high schooler from Texarkana, Tex., had been in extended spring training. To make room, Justin Milo was placed on the 7-Day Disabled List.

Heathcott was 1-for-10 last year in Gulf Coast League action. Should make for exciting times when Charleston comes back to Lakewood in late July.
