The Jeter has arrived (WITH VIDEO)
When I got here and saw the clubhouse was closed for pregame, I knew something was up. Then I went over to the gate and saw a black Escalade (I assume) pull through the stadium's back entrance. That sealed it.
Derek Jeter, the Yankees shortstop who is just six hits from 3,000, had arrived at Waterfront Park to work out on the eve of his two-game stint with the Trenton Thunder.
He's supposed to take BP today, and perhaps some infield, in lieu of his rained out workout in Tampa this morning. If everything goes according to plan, he'll be active tomorrow for the game.
