NOTES: The Yankees announced yesterday that all five of their minor league affiliates will participate in HOPE week, a charitable tradition with the major league club. The acronym stands for Helping Others Persevere and Excel. Trenton's turn comes on June 19-22 and 25.

Today's starters, De La Cruz and Miller were teammates last year with Akron. De La Cruz made 16 starts and seven relief appearances. His first relief appearance came against Trenton in a game that was delayed two hours by rain. He made 11 more starts after that before moving to the bullpen  full time.

Miller made 23 relief appearances with the Aeros, including a pair against Trenton.

The Yankees today claimed Ryota Igarashi off of waivers from the Blue Jays. He'll report to Triple-A Scranton, which has a hole on its 25-man roster, so a move is not necessary to accommodate Igarashi.
