Game 85 - Trenton vs. New Britain

Pitching matchup: RHP Dellin Betances (0-0, 0.00) vs. RHP B.J. Hermsen (4-4, 3.60)

In the standings: First-place Trenton is a game up on Reading in the E.L. East. Third-place New Britain is 1.5 games behind the Thunder.

Notes: So, David Phelps will pitch on Monday. That's something, huh? He'll start. It's obviously to keep him on turn while the Yankees are on the All-Star break. Scranton will also be on the All-Star break, so Trenton was the sensible destination.

To make room, Mikey O'Brien will go on the DL for one start. It's a bad toe, but he'll miss one start. Take that as you will. ... Abe Almonte says he'll be out two to three more weeks with his hamstring issue.

There's a Cubs scout here. He's not the normal Cubs scout I see here, but I'll find out later if he's on regular coverage.

Mike Ashmore is on Trentonian duty this evening. I'll be in the stands taking video of Betances and others. I'll post that here later.
