Triple-A: Scranton 5, Charlotte 2
Ivan Nova threw 6 2/3 innings of two-run ball, and Juan Miranda provided a home run and four RBIs in the Yankees' win. Nova scattered seven hits, walked two and struck out three. He is now 4-2 with a 3.71 ERA. Boone Logan and Jonathan Albaladejo closed the door on the Knights. Miranda, Eduardo Nunez and Chad Huffman each had two hits. Huffman and Jesus Montero doubled. Reid Gorecki stole two bases.

With a seven-run second inning, the Thunder topped the R-Phils and took first place in the Eastern League East. Brandon Laird slammed a two-run homer in the big second, and Justin Christian had a two-run triple in the next inning. Both Christian and Laird had three RBIs. Austin Krum and Jorge Vazquez had two hits apiece. With 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief of Wilkin De La Rosa, Ryan Pope picked up the win.

High-A: Tampa 8, Lakeland 1
The biggest news here is that Dellin Betances made his 2010 debut after arm surgery last season. He was excellent, letting up just three hits and a run over six innings. He struck out a half dozen and walked nobody. Remember, he's still just 22. Mitch Abeita was 3-for-3 with three runs scored and a walk. Walter Ibarra, Jose Pirela, Brad Suttle and Jack Rye had two hits apiece. Suttle and Pirela each had three RBIs.

Luke Murton hit a big three-run homer in the ninth, and the RiverDogs toppled the Suns. Overall, Murton was 2-for-3 with a run scored, three RBIs and a walk. Rob Lyerly and DeAngelo Mack each had a pair of doubles and a single. Jimmy Paredes also collected a double and scored a run. Jose Ramirez continued his poor stretch, allowing four runs over four innings before giving way to Ryan Acosta, Francisco Gil and Ryan Flannery.

Jamiel Orozco had two hits and an RBI, and Edwin Fulgencio blasted a home run, but it wasn't enough to help the Yankees outlast San Francisco's Dominican Leaguers. Jorge Alcantara also stole a base and collected a single, an RBI, scored a run and walked. Jose Pena and Victor Beriguete combined to allow four runs (two earned) over the first six innings. They fanned six and walked three.

Rainiero Coa and Jose Javier collected three hits apiece as the Yankees topped Houston in a DSL preview of tonight's big league matchup. Javier and Coa combined to drive in five runs. Gian Arias and Coa collected a double a piece, and Rafael Polo tripled. Ravel Santana stole two bases.
Johansel Delgado and Winston Eusebio tossed scoreless innings, collecting the win and the save, respectively.
